Beeswax

Beeswax is 100% natural and is derived from natural honeycombs obtained from the forests of India. Beeswax is extracted by melting the empty honeycombs in boiling water to recover the wax. It is refined through physical processes and chemicals are involved in the process.

The three main types of beeswax are yellow, white and beeswax absolute. Yellow beeswax is the crude product obtained from the honeycomb, white beeswax is obtained by yellow beeswax bleaching and beeswax absolute is obtained by yellow beeswax treated with alcohol. Colour and fragrance can be added later. Beeswax provides body and stiffness to formulations and acts as an emulsifier.

Applications

Beeswax  is used in many sectors of industries like

Beeswax is used in many cosmetics, pharmaceutical and confectionary applications, dental waxes, food release agents, pomades and aromatic candles.

In food preparation beeswax is used as a coating for cheese; by sealing out the air, protection is given against ageing. It may also be used as a food additive in small quantities acting as a (glazing agent), which serves to prevent water loss, or used to provide surface protection for some fruits. Soft gelatin capsules and tablet coatings may also see the use of beeswax. It is also a common ingredient of natural chewing gum.

There has been a growing use of beeswax in skin care and cosmetics.

Beeswax is used in lip balm, lip gloss, hand creams and moisturizers, and in cosmetics such as eye shadow, blush and eye liner. Beeswax is an important ingredient in moustache wax, as well as in hair pomades, which make hair look sleek and shiny.

In candle making, all natural beeswax burns cleaner and longer than petroleum-based paraffin waxes. There is no smoke since there is no petroleum burning in the candles.

Emulsifying Wax

Emulsifying wax is used as a emulsifying ingredient in cosmetics. It is used primarily in the manufacturing of creams, lotions and other beauty products. The emulsification occurs when two substances here oil and water are successfully bound together creating a sort of glue that combines the ingredients of a product. Emulsions, made with this wax are more stable to weak acids such as boric, carbolic & salicylic.

It is also more stable to mild oxidizing & reducing agents than soap. This type of wax is used by cosmetics manufacturers. Emulsifying wax thickens the liquid by making emulsion of water and oil based elements of the creation. It is white in color, solid and possesses a light alcoholic scent.

Non ionic self emulsifying wax is a self-emulsifying cream base. Its appearance is white/ odorless, flakes and is suitable for the preparation of ointments, lotions , cremes and also liquid emulsions. Non ionic self emulsifying wax is prepared from pure cetearyl alcohol and polysorbate 60 providing excellent stability. The amount of non ionic self emulsifying wax to be used depends on the consistency of the emulsion you need. Non ionic self emulsifying wax works well in anionic, cationic and nonionic systems and produce stable emulsions.

Relying on our vast experience and expertise in this industry, we are considered as one of the eminent manufacturers and suppliers of emulsifying wax. We process these waxes by using premium quality of components like vegetable source fatty alcohol, Clients widely demand for range of wax due to its highly appreciated properties like long shelf life, high stability and self emulsifying nature.

Applications

Emulsifying is used in many sectors of industries like

Emulsifying wax is widely used in the pharmaceutical – cosmetic industry as a part of creams and lotion formulations. Non ionic emulsifying wax is most suitable in water in oil type of emulsion, whereas the non-ionic grade is most suitable in oil in water type of emulsion.
